More Excellent Way Person-Centered Programs assist Developmentally Disabled Individuals in achieving their desired future. We teach, “if you Believe, you can Achieve”. We focus on ABILITIES instead of disabilities. We believe, that as much as they are able, it is crucial to the growth and wellbeing of the Developmentally Disabled Individual to participate in their own care and the decision making. We learn through firsthand interaction about individual skills and strengths. We care about Residents needs and what is important to them. We help identify the future desired by the Resident and assist him or her in Planning for their long-and short-term goals. We network with their family and friends support team in determining the strategies for achieving these goals. We document personal advancement, measure individual progress, and welcome any programs needed to render more effective results. Our staff encourages Resident feedback about their experiences with our programs.
